Ramadan and Eid Ideas for kids

Not much is done for children during Ramadan and Eid in our country. But their excitement about Eid does not end there.

But what else do we do on the day of Eid. We go from house to house, wear new clothes, and celebrate Eid with the same food every year. Can't we do something new for them this time? They only get some money as Eid. But this is Is this enough to be happy?

I have found many ideas on the internet around Ramadan and Eid. Among them, I have shared the most successful ideas today--

1) Start from Ramadan. Start from Ramadan. Tell him the story of Ramadan to tell him the specialness of the month of Ramadan.

Maybe it is the story of your childhood or the story of why Ramadan is religiously significant for Muslims. You can also tell the story of how Ramadan is celebrated abroad. Of course, Google is there for that.

2)Many Ramadan and Eid related books for children aged three years and above are available at various online stores.

You can buy those books for them. My favorites are Night of the Moon (Hena Khan), Husna and Eid Party (Fawzia Gilani Williams), Golden Domes and Silver Lanterns (Hena Khan).

3) Encourage fasting. Encourage children to fast from the age of seven-eight years. They can't keep all the fasts. Get them used to fasting the first fast, the last fast, and the twenty-seventh fast.

For those who are younger, Chibi Roza or half fast can be arranged. It will be till 12 noon. On the day they fast, have food of their choice in Iftar. Take part in Taraweeh Namaz with children, so that their interest in Taraweeh Namaz will increase.

4) Make a Ramadan calendar. Children can count the days from Ramadan to Eid by themselves. Every day after Iftar, keep a surprise for him. It will be different every day.

Keep toys, candies, chocolates, streakers for three to six year olds.

Have crafts and activities for seven to twelve year olds. Like making cloth flowers, memorizing dua, memorizing Surah, making Eid cards, memorizing hadith, making Tasbeeh with beads etc.

5) When Eid time is approaching, decorate the house in Eid theme. Use "Eid Mubarak" banner, colorful balloons, LED string lights and Ramadan lantern lights or fanoos.

These little decorations bring festive mood to the house.

6) Participate in Eid prayers.

Make goody bags filled with chocolate, chewing gum, candy, chips pack, cookies pack. Distribute it to the children after the prayer.

7) On the day of Eid, do not go from house to house and invite all relatives to your house.

If the day of Eid is not possible, invite them on the day after Eid or on the third day of Eid. This deepens the relationship between everyone.

8) Instead of traditional Eid semai, payesh, polau, chicken roast korma, prepare dishes that are loved by all.

Chanachur, French fries, Potato chips, different type of Cold Drink, All Kinds of Candy and Chocolate,Naankhatai,Cup Cake,Sawnpapri, Fruit Custard, Carmel bread pudding(Flan), chips mixed Nachos, Coconut log cake (Jatinoor cake),Lab-i-shirin are My favorite.

Cinnamon French Toast Casserole, potato shingara,Shinga(Krumkake), Dahi cake(Marie biscuit pudding)Semai upma, Vermicelli custard , Lacchi,Semai barfi,Semai Laddu,Mammul,Khak, Chirer polao,Ras malai,Rasgulla,Gulab jamun,Onion and Samolina Mini Somucha,Cheese cake,Kunafa, Cresent and star shape sugar cookies can also be kept.

Serve in such a way that the food does not spoil. Various fresh fruit slice can be kept as healthy options. However, children's taste buds should be kept in mind.

9) Have party games for the kids that they can play with cousins.-Treasure hunt, pillow game, chair game, pinata, pass the parcel, charade works best.

Rides for children- slides, swings, fairies wheels, pony horses, dhekki, carousel, jump or bounce can be arranged.

Nowadays many companies offer rides for rent. Rides can be hired from them.

Also religious Islamic quiz competition or calligraphy competition can be done with older kids.

10) Charity Begins at Home. Don't forget the poor. Buy new clothes and shoes for the street children for Eid. Wrap them in wrapping paper and pack them with the children. By doing so, the children will learn "Sharing is caring".

Poor children can be given story books, toys, chocolates as gifts. Don't just give the gift. Wrap it in colored paper. So that the children think they are being given a gift on the occasion of Eid instead of being a favor to them.

These ideas are more useful than other ideas.

Apart from this, you can also go for a walk, have a party on the Chandraat, etc. You can organize a movie night or a games night by wearing the same pajamas on the Chandraat . You can also go to the amusement park, theme park,Zoo etc.
