Eid of Bangladesh means these things

Eid means new clothes and new shoes, delicious food and Eid home decoration.

When Eid comes, We remember these things without which the joy of Eid is like soil.

Eid clothes and shoes

Eid means Eid shopping. Buying new shoes 👟👠and clothes👚👗. At this time, there is a crowd from the Ramadan market to the Shopping mall.

People rush to these markets to buy new clothes and shoes.

Some people love to make new clothes in their favorite designs. So the tailor shops are seen busy till night.

Returning home on Eid

People flock to the bus 🚆, train 🚂 and launch 🛳️ticket counters to return home on Eid.

They have to return to their family before Eid. Eid should be done with family.

Chandraat

The night before Eid is Chandraat 🌙. At this time preparations for Eid were made.

Houses are decorated for Eid, preparation for Eid food begins. 

Girls put mehndi or henna on their hands. And Takbaeer is organized on the day before Eid in the mosque or Eid prayer ground.

At the end of Taqbaeer Islamic music is performed by playing the tambourine.

In the village, the children go from house to house and perform Islamic music and singing Taqbaeer and playing the tambourine  In return, they get money and rice.

Eid Jamaat and Shinni

Before going to the Eid prayer, a bath is done with perfumed soap. 

After that new clothes 👗👚 are worn, perfume is applied and dates are eaten as Shinni.

Then the men of the house go to participate in the Eid congregation. 

In this country, Eid prayers are mainly of attended by men. Although there are some places where women also attend Eid prayers.

Eid means eating and drinking

Eid means eating all kinds of food again.

 After the Eid prayer, the whole family and relatives eat a huge breakfast.

In the noon there is a special meal and in the afternoon various types of snacks are arranged with tea or coffee.

Most of eid ul fitr food are sweets 🎂🍭. This is why Eid ul fitr call mithi Eid or sweet Eid.

Among them Dudh Semai(milk vermicelli) ,Payesh(Rice pudding) Sujeer Halwa( Semolina and milk Halwa), Shukna Semai(dry vermicelli cooked with coconut & dry fruit), Zorda(Sweet rice cooked with coconut, orange, saffron and dry fruit), Shahi Tukda(Bread 🍞 pudding 🍮), Lab e sherin (Vermicelli custards with fruit cocktail and small sweet as topping), Polau (Rice pilafs), Korma(Meat or vegetable cooked with yoghurt), Kalia(Fish cooked with yoghurt, Raisins and spice), Meat Curry, Mixed vegetables, Dal, Luchi, Parotta, Desi salad are particularly notable.

Soft drinks 🍹and ice cream 🍨are also available at the end of the meal. 

Besides, there are various cookies, cakes, pitha, sweets, snacks for afternoon snack with tea or coffee.

Eid gift

On the day of Eid, children will receive salami or Eidi or bakhshis , small amount of money 💸 wrapped in beautiful paper or colored envelopes from their elders.

So that there is money. Demand for new notes is high at this time.

Eid decoration

On the day of Eid, one decorates oneself and the house is decorated in a new way.

Colorful lanterns and electric lamps, paper decorations, balloons are used in Eid decorations 🎋.

In rural areas Alpana is painted in the courtyard of the house. Pelita lamps and Diya lamps are lit around it.

It is not seen much in the urban areas. Although many people make small Alpana in the drawing room of the house in the city.

In today's era, with the help of Pinterest and Internet, various decorations have come in the market, which are used to decorate the house on the day of Eid in urban areas.

Eid tree , plum tree 🌴 or crescent shape tree 🎄 is used along with electric lights and colorful ornaments and door wreaths.

Chatting and games

During Eid, all the relatives are together. The whole day is spent chatting and eating various foods.

Men play Tashra game 🎯 which is a combination of cards and dice. No money is used in this game according to Islamic rules.

There is no reward system.

Children buy toys 🛴and play with Eid money or Salami.

Latim, Kite Flying, Desi Badminton, Desi Cricket, Desi Football, Yo Yo are notable among them.

Even if they buy firecracker with Eid money, they play with sound firecracker and  Light firecracker 💥.
